Since 2016, Matt has been a financial guide for clients, helping them identify goals and creating personalized strategies designed to achieve those dreams. Trust, care, and honesty are the top qualities that he lives by and brings to client interactions.

Prior to joining Impact Financial Strategies in 2022, Matt lived in Colorado Springs for 4 years and started his financial career there with Edward Jones. Fall of 2019, Matt moved to Fort Collins and a year later partnered with Fidelity Investments as a Portfolio Specialist. As part of the IFS team, Matt will be working in all aspects of wealth management focusing on identifying, developing, and implementing of financial plans. 

Matt grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and his father’s 30+ year career in the financial industry was influential on him. Matt earned a Bachelors in Family Resource Management from The Ohio State University. During his time at OSU, he swam competitively and held 7 school records. Matt also attended the Olympic Trials in 2008 for the 50 and 100 freestyle.

He moved out to Colorado in 2010 where he worked in the hospitality sector before meeting his wife Sarah at baggage claim in the Ft. Myers airport. They have one daughter Lilia and Caila is due in January 2023. The Voelker family also has 2 dogs Sawyer and Ellie. In his free time, Matt enjoys almost anything outdoors; running, biking, skiing, ice climbing, and scuba diving. Spending time with his family is one of his top priorities.
