Originally born in Ukraine and raised in New York City, Svetlana moved to Colorado in 1999 after visiting the state and falling in love with the mountains. She lived in various cities throughout Northern Colorado exploring what they had to offer before settling down in Timnath, Colorado with her family.
Svetlana earned her Bachelor of Science with a focus in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College. While working towards her degree, she was a marketing intern for a Financial Advisor at Smith Barney. Upon graduation and moving to Colorado, she helped start up and manage two newly opened branches of Smith Barney in Broomfield and Boulder.
After starting a family and living in Greeley at the time, Svetlana wanted to be closer to home and transferred to the Fort Collins branch. She worked with a team of 3 Financial Advisors focusing on client service and operations. In 2007, the team along with Svetlana, left Smith Barney and transitioned to UBS Financial Services Inc. In 2014, the team decided it was in the best interest of clients to start an independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) firm. Svetlana assisted in the transition and learned a lot about the RIA world.
With almost 30 years experience, Svetlana is dedicated to providing clients with extensive operational and administrative expertise - encompassing the complex needs of high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, endowments and business owners. In her role at Impact Financial Strategies, she will use her expertise to make the client experience an exceptional one.
Svetlana’s husband, Smith, is retired and an automobile enthusiast. Svetlana‘s son, Nicholas, 21 years old, recently graduated from Front Range Community College with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive Technology and is currently working at Pedersen Toyota as a Technician. Her daughter, Victoria, 15, attends Timnath Middle High School and mostly enjoys playing the viola, crocheting, and participating in 4H, mainly in the Shooting Sports program. Victoria is also working towards obtaining her Distinguished Expert Certification with American Legion Post 109 in Cheyenne, WY. Svetlana is a Volunteer Leader for Larimer County 4H clubs to help wherever it is needed.
